I am Delynn Turner, M.S., GDC-CSp, CLC, a Certified Specialist Grief Counselor and Certified Life Coach. I founded Purposeful Visions, a 501(c)(3) Not for Profit organization, to help individuals and families heal from grief, trauma, and generational pain. My mission began from personal experience growing up in a home filled with silence, struggle, and unhealed wounds. I turned that pain into purpose by creating a safe space for the Black community to process grief with honesty, faith, and reflection. Through my healing ebooks and memoir. I turned that pain into purpose by creating a safe space for the Black community to process grief with honesty, faith, and reflection. Through my healing ebooks and memoir From Pain to Purpose. I share my own stories of loss, resilience, and transformation. Each book was written to help readers do the deep, uncomfortable, but necessary work of healing. Every chapter offers truth, reflection, and guided journal prompt-because I believe that when we write our pain, we begin to release it.

Charlotte, NC, Grief counselor and trauma educator Delynn Turner, M.S., GDC-CSp, CLC is calling on nationationa newsrooms to correct current narratives around the rising number of adult children going No Contact with their parents. Turner states this movement is not a trend or fad, or rebellion. It's a generational trauma response decades in the making. Turner asserts that many adult children are cutting ties after years of emotional neglect. Childhood trauma, parentification, domestic violence exposure, and parents ongoing denial past harm. These patterns are especially pronounced in Black and BIPOC families where survival historically required silence and suppressed pain. "This is. not. disrespect. Turner says "This is the first generation with the emotional literacy to say: The pain ends with me." "Turner's catalog of over 18 Ebooks on grief and trauma titles including "Blood Ties and Boundaries, Why Going No Contact Isn't a Lack of Love It's the Start of Liberation offers culturally centered tools for families struggling with estrangement and unspoken wounds. She urges major outlets such as The New York Times, The Root, Essence and NPR to explore the deeper emotional truth behind No Contact rather than reinforcing stigma.
